As our team took a moment to reflect on our marketing efforts from 2017, the theme that emerged can be summed up in one word: eclectic. From banks and law firms to restaurants and monasteries to nonprofits and ag associations, we never could have predicted what we’d encounter, which is why we love what we do!

Here are our employee’s favorite projects from 2017:

Aimee – Bank of North Dakota – Achieve More

Because it was a challenge. There were 9 spots, each one had its own location and talent. The client challenged me to find better talent and the campaign turned out great.

Anthony – North Dakota Grain Growers Association – Benefits Video

This project spanned several months, and it was a good feeling to see how it all came together. I was able to attend several NDGGA events and interview several NDGGA members and officials from other organizations that benefit from the great work the NDGGA does.

Becky – Mayo Construction – Website: www.mayoconst.com

The responsiveness of the site is something I am very proud of … there are extra “decorations” at very large screen sizes but it is still very mobile friendly.

Brady – Traill County Economic Development – Website:www.traillcountyedc.com

It was a challenge and I learned a lot from it in my first year at Absolute.

Brian – Security Self Storage – Website: www.selfstoragefargo.com

The client was very happy with the website, which is the base to use for ad campaigns and vehicle graphics. The project also involved creating a new logo.

Elisabeth – JL Beers – Digital Menu

It was a challenging, yet delightful, experience to use data in a creative, user-friendly way. Stop by one of the Fargo metro locations to see the menus in action.

Emily – Braaten Law Firm – Website Coming Soon

Writing content for a law firm was a challenge, especially because Braaten has multiple and varied practice areas, but I learned a lot and am quite proud of the final product.

Grant – YMCA – Online Ad Campaign

Anna is the BEST client to work with. Always happy and trusting in our expertise and the results show.

Jim – Carmel of Mary – Recruitment Video

Wonderfully sweet clients. The challenge of this project was making an effective recruitment video targeted toward a very narrow niche of potential future monastic cloistered nuns. We were blessed with the opportunity for beautiful videography.

John – Homeward Animal Shelter – They Come to Us Video

It was very sweet and cute with everyone’s families getting involved, from my cute boys, to Andi and Bowie, and Ella doing the VO. Plus I thought we got some really nice shots of cute dogs and cats, and who doesn’t love that?!?

Lindsey – Video Arts Studios – Newspaper Campaign

I had the chance to combine my job with a little bit of media placement by planning a year’s worth of ads for Video Arts. It was fun planning the content and design to correspond with the different times of the year.

Loren – North Dakota Farm Bureau – Time Video

NDFB was a great client to work with. They were very open to our creative ideas and in the end we put together a fun, modern animated video that hopefully surpassed their needs.

Luke – Red Pine Distillery – Website: www.redpinedistillery.com

The site is simple, sets a good brand tone with the imagery, and the foggy pine landscapes give me a good black metal vibe.

MacDalton – Union State Bank – FAQ Animated Videos

I admire Union State Bank’s dedication to educating the customer in an entertaining manner. Turning a normal F.A.Q. post into an animated video was very inventive and proved to be much more engaging to the audience.

Marty – The Mission of Herman Stern – Documentary

Super interesting interviews! The chance to write 30+ minutes of documentary music was something new. Definitely a worthy project.

Scott – Carmel of Mary – Recruitment Video

Something very different, and the sisters were great to work with.

Sabrina – Salt2O – Website: www.salt2ospa.com

I enjoyed how it turned out. One of the first to launch on a new platform. It was challenging and exciting to develop the theme for the website.

Scott – Red Hen Taphouse – Menus and Coasters

Since this client was a bar, I got to be a little bit more edgy than typical. It’s always great when a client is brave and allows us push the boundaries a bit to create an exciting and bold piece.

Wendy – ND Department of Health – Protect Yourself ND Campaign

It was actually a challenging subject matter to effectively communicate to the target audience. But it lent itself to being a really creative project by using subtle cues to communicate the message.
