Absolute Marketing Group recently had the honor of being selected as the 2009 Best Place to Intern in North Dakota!

Fargo, N.D. – Encouragement of young workers to build their future in North Dakota has been a focus of many within the state. And, in order to build a future, young workers are looking for opportunities to be a part of companies that will help them build their homes and leave their legacies within the area.

That’s why the North Dakota Young Professionals (NDYP) find it important to recognize businesses that provide high quality jobs and internships.

NDYP has chosen Absolute Marketing Group in Moorhead, Minn., as the 2009 Best Place to Intern.

Absolute Marketing Group has had 40 interns over the past three and a half years. Josie, media buyer and intern supervisor, started with the company as an intern and landed a job with the firm after graduation. When asked about her internship experience she said, “Everyday changed with the duties of being an intern. There was an opportunity for a wide variety of tasks.”

Mac Berns, marketing advisor said, “It’s a win – win. Interns provide valuable energy and resources for Absolute Marketing Group and our clients. It’s also a win for North Dakota; of the 40 interns, roughly 35 have stayed in the area.”

The Best Place to Work and Best Place to Intern awards, started by the NDYP in 2008, are a reflection of the creativity and innovation that businesses offer Young Professionals.

In order to be considered for the awards, applicants submitted a detailed questionnaire about the company benefits, advancement opportunities, and why their business is an outstanding place for young professionals to work or intern. A statewide committee of four Young Professional judges sifted through the nominees, determining the winners.

NDYP will announce the Best Place to Work winner and runners up Thursday, February 18 in Bismarck.
