Distance Is Part of the Equation

In western North Dakota, long distances are a given. For rural healthcare providers, those distances shape how supplies move, how fast help arrives, and what options are available in urgent situations.

This project started with a straightforward challenge. How can critical medical supplies be delivered more quickly between facilities that may be separated by dozens of miles?

In partnership with the UND Center of Innovation, Absolute Studios produced a short-form case study video for Project Rural Reach to explore that question in real conditions. Filmed in the Williston and Watford City region, the video documents a live UAS medical delivery and captures what long-range operations look like in practice.
